Country overview – in relations to sector opportunities: With a population around 250 million, Indonesia is the fourth most populous country and is a home to the world’s 16th largest economy. The speed and scale of urban growth is astounding, 53% of population lives in cities, not only producing 74% of GDP but also at least 200.000 tonnes of waste per day.  The management of waste is becoming a major problem in Indonesia as the cities are growing even faster than the infrastructure development.
